AI Prompt Tracking is a free feature of GEO Check by Bee LLM. It saves conversations when requested and answers to prompts you have added to tracking.
What is saved
Visible question and answer text, conversation title and URL, message identifier, capture date and visible citation links. Your brand, detected company candidates, tracked prompts and schedules are also saved. Images, files and unloaded messages are excluded. A copy of the answer without citation labels is used to count brand mentions. Unavailable consulted sources are identified as unavailable.
Brand position and logos
Average position uses the displayed order in the first identifiable company list or comparison table, only for answers where your brand has a measurable position. It is not a quality score. Several brand icons are bundled with the extension. Other icons are requested from Google’s favicon service using only a known or matched public website domain, without cookies or referrer; prompts and answers are never sent for this. Unknown or unavailable icons show initials. Bee LLM uses a bundled logo.
Search sources and fanout
When saving an answer, the extension also tries to read metadata for the current conversation using your existing ChatGPT session. Any session token is used only in memory for that request and is never saved or exported. Matching uses the visible answer and its user prompt; other conversation branches are not added. Available search-result links and search queries (fanout) are saved with the answer. The capture also opens available search-source panels within the same response to read their links and then restores collapsed panels. These visible links are retained even when conversation metadata cannot be read. Search results do not prove that a page was opened or read, and fanout is not a complete log of internal reasoning. Metadata may be missing, especially in guest chats, or stop working if ChatGPT changes. No additional prompt is sent to obtain this metadata. Company names are candidates extracted from entities and answer headings and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Tracking and scheduling
New prompts are scheduled once a day at 09:00 local browser time by default. Settings lets you change the time, choose manual runs, or pause tracking. Changing the frequency applies it to all tracked prompts. Changing the time updates their run time while preserving individual pauses. Saving only your brand or the global tracking switch keeps individual schedules unchanged. Removing a prompt stops its schedule and excludes its answers from visibility, competitors, cited sources, consulted sources and search queries, including past chart points. Its saved answers remain accessible through All saved history in the full report. Paused prompts still count while they remain in tracking.
Automatic tracking detects when you send the exact text of a tracked prompt and saves the answer when complete. Other questions are not automatically added. Run now and daily schedules open ChatGPT and send the configured prompt through its form. Run now and daily runs always use incognito. Chrome must allow this extension in incognito; there is no separate normal/incognito setting. Legacy normal-mode preferences are ignored. If permission is missing or the browsing mode changes, the run stops without falling back to normal browsing. Incognito windows use a separate website cookie session, but this extension intentionally saves tracked prompts, answers and results in its shared local history, which remains after those windows close. Other open incognito windows can share the same incognito website session. A new incognito window is created if none is available. Incognito can still contain a ChatGPT login if you sign in there. Before each send authorization, the extension checks the session endpoint in that incognito tab. It returns only guest, signed-in or unknown to the scheduler, never account details or tokens. An identified signed-in account stops the run. If the endpoint response is unrecognized or unavailable, the extension can also recognize the guest home page from visible sign-in and registration controls together with an editable message box. It checks these controls twice and rejects account-menu controls, hidden controls and controls inside answers or dialogs. If neither check identifies a signed-out session, the run stops. This does not sign you out of any session. ChatGPT receives and processes this text under its own terms. Recent run statuses are kept to display results or errors. Your computer must be awake and Chrome running; tasks may be delayed or fail because of limits, sign-in, connection issues or changes to ChatGPT.
Search evidence during scheduled runs
Before Run now or a daily run sends your saved prompt, the extension temporarily observes a copy of that prompt's ChatGPT response stream in the tab it created. It accepts only an exact matching prompt submission and retains explicitly exposed search queries, result links and message/conversation identifiers. It does not infer searches from answer or reasoning text, store raw streams or request headers, or send this evidence to another service. The original response remains available to ChatGPT. Observation is bounded to 2 MB and ten minutes; saved evidence must match the visible answer and conversation. This can work in guest chats when ChatGPT exposes these fields, but availability and formats may change. Past guest answers cannot recover missing stream evidence: rerun the prompt after updating. Existing captured evidence is preserved on later partial captures.
Where data is stored
History is stored locally by this extension in this Chrome profile. The tracking module has no server, telemetry or cloud synchronization and does not send conversations to Bee LLM. It does not use API keys. Automatic runs do send your configured prompts to ChatGPT.
You control the history
You can pause automatic tracking, disable individual schedules, delete individual results or clear history. Deleting results keeps tracked prompts and schedules. Data & exports lets you clear one prompt, archived results or all history. Reset Prompt Tracker removes its brand, results, tracked prompts, schedules and run logs, cancels active tracking jobs and pauses capture. It preserves AI Access settings and cache. Deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone. Export a copy first; automatic import is not available. Clearing all GEO Check data also removes preferences and schedules. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data. History supports up to 5 MB; when full, saving stops with a message and no results are automatically removed.
Exports and links
CSV, JSON and HTML exports contain the complete text and links of exported runs. The popup HTML button exports all history; the full report buttons export the filtered view. The full-data JSON export includes all tracking history, settings, prompts, schedules and run logs regardless of filters. Review contents before sharing. Clearing extension data does not delete downloaded files. The full report is a local extension page. Downloaded HTML is a standalone copy with an embedded logo that opens offline and can be shared. It does not update automatically and remains after uninstalling the extension. External links open ChatGPT, sources or Bee LLM.
Other GEO Check features
AI Access automatically checks HTTP and HTTPS pages as you navigate or activate tabs, and checks active pages on startup. It requests the exact page URL, robots.txt and diagnostic services, reusing valid local results to avoid repeated probe batches. The toolbar animates while checking and then shows the result; amber with a question mark means access could not be confirmed. The original ChatGPT search and source capture has its own flow. See the public GEO Check privacy policy for these features.
